Our Telekom had donated two prepaid mobile phones to the Tovata Confederacy of the Solomon Islands Fiji Community Association (SIFCA) towards their fundraising drive on the 3rd of October. The donation was presented by Our Telekom Assistant Manager Marketing, Ms Rachel Rahii to representatives of the Tovata group, Ms Cathy Chow and Ms Fiona Melaisea on Tuesday (30/09/08) at the Telekom compound, Point Cruz.

The donation was made in response to the Tovata group’s request for assistance from the company. The group is preparing for their main association (SIFCA)’s major fundraising event to coincide with Fiji’s National Day on the 11th October 2008.

The Solomon Islands Fijian Community Association is raising funds to build the foundation of their community so that their present general and those that will follow will be developed in character and grow in the principles and values that will make them valued and conscientious citizens of Solomon Islands.

Ms Choi – Lin of behalf of the Tovata group conveyed her thanks to Our Telekom, staff and Management for the support rendered to them.

Our Telekom Assistant Manager Marketing, Ms Rachel Rahii said not only are we committed to the telecommunication development needs and expansion in the country but also to assisting the wider community where we possibly can.
