SMS Centre # CHANGE ADVICE

Our Telekom would like to advice its valued customers that the SMS Service Centre number has to be changed manually for each customer. This is due to the introduction of the 7 digit numbering.

You can go global by getting onto the internet. But don't get lost in the World Wide Web; tell everyone exactly who you are. Register a .sb domain and remain true to yourself. Go Global, Remain Local. Register Now

This is important and must be done in order to continue with the SMS service after the change. To send SMS or text messages, customers need to use only the 7-digit number of the recipient. While making a call using the current 5 digits will still be working for the next 3 months, the SMS service will only work with 7 digits, so be sure to add the prefix of “74” before the 5 digit number of the recipient.
Please refer to the manual of your mobile handset to find the SMS Centre number. This is the service number that will allow you to send text messages.

The current number is +67797003. Change it to +6777010000. Most Nokia Handsets:
Go to Menu > Messages > Message Setting > Sending Profile > Message Centre > Message Centre Number.

Or for Other models:
Go to Menu > Messages > Message Setting > Text > Message Centres > msg. Centre

And for some models you’ll have to name the centre number. Name it “SMS Centre”

Most Motorola Handsets:
Go to Menu > Messages > Message Setup > Message Centre No. > Change.

If you still need help please call us on 21164 to get further assistance.
