Roaming is the word used to describe using your mobile phone when travelling in another operator’s network or in another country for a short period while still being billed your existing provider.

What do I need to do to be able to Roam when overseas?

You need to check with Telekom Sales that your Breeze GSM mobile subscription allows you to use your phone abroad and which services are available in your destination country.

OUR TELEKOM EXTENDS BREEZE MOBILE SERVICE TO KIRAKIRA AND LATA

Thursday 5th May 2008

Our Telekom has extended its mobile coverage to Makira and Temotu Provincial capitals, Kirakira and Lata. Mobile installations in these two stations were both completed on the 5th of May and are currently on trial to test the systems.

Reports from Kirakira and Lata said that people with existing mobile phones can now receive and make calls in and out of the townships and everybody is excited of this new service.

“People in and around Kirakira are very happy of the mobile service because it makes communication much easier to them,” Mrs. Edith Hanuagi of Kirakira Telekom said.
